On the 2nd day of Angotic, Appy People‘s CEO, Pedro Beirão, joined the panel on the theme “Paralela: Strategy for the promotion of startup ecosystems“. The panel was headed by Dr. Bráulio Augusto, Manager of INAPEM, Dr. Fátima Almeida, CEO of Bayqi, Dr. Joel Muxinda, President of the Angolan Association of Inventors and Innovators, and moderated by Dr. Cláudio Kiala, Innovation and ICT Director of the E-Kwanza network. We talked about Appy Saúde and its role in the digitalization of the health sector, what is needed for the growth of the startups ecosystem in Angola and what is the role of each of the stakeholders, INAPEM, private sector, startups and international entities. It was a lively panel, with several pertinent interventions. The challenges and the path to growth of the ecosystem and startups (in the initial or growth phase) are identified.
